creating a foundation for lifelong learning and success.
Welcome to Roundabout’s Childrens Day Nurseries located in Nantwich and Shavington, Cheshire.
A local family business set up in 2008 by our founders and owners Kate and Jonathan, their aim was to create nursery environments that would provide every child with access to the best possible childcare experience.
Our local reputation for providing exceptional childcare is evident from the moment you arrive and we take pride in creating a secure, warm, and welcoming environment for children, parents and carers.
We provide childcare in our extensive indoor room settings and outdoor secure play areas, which we are continually investing in to create the best possible environment for play and learning, whatever the weather.
We're open throughout the year from 7am to 6pm and have our own private car park at each nursery to safely drop-off and pick-up.
Both of our nurseries are rated by Ofsted as 'Good'
There are Four core values that underpin our Ethos at Roundabouts Day Nursery.
We believe that they go hand in hand in creating solid foundations for children to learn and develop
1. security
Feeling safe facilitates learning and enables children to feel secure. It builds self-esteem and supports building strong bonds and relationships with peers and practitioners.
2. independence
All children are recognised as unique individuals and promoting independence is important from an early age. Being independent promotes self-esteem and self-confidence and encourages children to think for themselves.
3. well-being
Supporting well-being is fundamental to a child’s overall physical and mental health. Building resilience is crucial for supporting children in facing and overcoming problems they may face and regulating their own emotions.
4. resilience
Supporting children to overcome setbacks and build their confidence to bounce back from different scenarios is fundamental for their future development. Resilience supports problems solving skills, self-confidence and allows children to develop skills they need to cope with stressful situations.

“ We have loved our time at Roundabouts and are so sad it’s come to an end. The care you provide is second to none and we are so thankful”
“All the team have been so welcoming to William since he started. Sophie initially went the extra mile to settle him so quickly and we are so grateful”

“The lovely pre-school ladies have made Freddie so welcome. Thank you”
"Children are happy and well cared for at the nursery. They are content in their surroundings and show confidence is making choices about how they spend their day. Babies settle quickly as staff follow their routines from home. They quickly build relationships with adults who readily offer cuddles. This helps babies to feel secure"
"Staff know the children very well and plan learning to meet their individual needs. The manager has a strong vision for the curriculum. Additional funding is used effectively to support individual children. Learning follows a sequence that helps children to make progress across all areas of learning"
"Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENCo) works well with other agencies to provide support for children. A range of strategies are used to help children, such as a visual timetable. Children with SEND make good progress"
"Children enter the nursery happily. They are pleased to see the friendly, welcoming staff. They confidently approach visitors and involve them in their play. This demonstrates that children feel very secure and at home in the familiar surroundings.
"Parents and carers feel really well supported by the nursery team. They say that they never feel alone when concerns about children's development arise"
" Staff are positive role models for children. They work well as a team and this sets a good example for children"
"Managers form positive partnerships with other professionals. For example, they implement advice from specialist professionals, such as speech and language therapists. Managers use additional funding effectively to support the learning and development of children who receive it. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points"
"Parents feel supported to continue their children's learning at home. For example, staff send games home for children and parents to play. Parents like the online app that staff use to record children's daily routines. They welcome the information that staff provide about the menu and how much food children eat. This helps to promote continuity in children's care and diet"
